"The idea is to provide a state-of-the-art e-commerce platform that will allow Latin American contemporary jewelry designers reach a global audience. From now on, people from all over the world will be able to get to know what designers are up to here down South, and eventually purchase and be shipped some of their work", said Diego Karas, founder of the website. "We realized that there were many online galleries and blogs devoted to the Latin American jewelry scene, but none of them offered the truly e-commerce experience U.S. and European consumers are used to. Since 2000, Buenos Aires has become one of the main destinations for global tourism, and foreign visitors have always included local jewelry among the items that struck them the most.
